Thank you to all of you who are praying about us. It really means a lot to know that so many strangers care about our situation. Your comments and thoughts help us get through some of the toughest times of our lives.
We waited all week for an update from SDA and unfortunately as of end of the business day today - still nothing new to report. Our facilitator was able to meet with the officials on Tuesday and SDA agreed to consider giving us another appointment, but no word of when that will be and what will be shown. We are hoping once again to get a final decision on Monday.
If they only have sick children to offer - we will not be going back to Kiev. While visiting the last orphanage we saw a lot of healthy children and SDA offering only sick children is non-sense. Out of a group of 10-12 children we saw only 2-3 that looked sick or delayed. Majority of 4-6 year olds we saw playing outside were very active and healthy.
We were ready to come home this weekend, but the possibility of one more chance that might bring us closer to meeting the child(ren) is still there. We are currently staying in Odessa, waiting to get called back to Kiev if anything changes.
We don't want to leave if there is that slim chance of coming home with the child(ren). We are praying for God's will in our situation and hope next week will bring closure to our mission in Ukraine.

I cannot even imagine what you are going through right now, but please know that many, many prayers are being offered upon your behalf. Your strength and faith are testimonies to us all!
Thank you for providing an update as we've been checking your blog daily.
You'll be in our prayers as you wait for more details from the SDA.

i also remember reading about sasha in one of kelly's earlier posts... this child is gold.

I'm so glad to hear from you. Praying for you to get good news on Monday and a good referral. I wonder what God is up to in all our lives.

Hi I came here from the Hinshaws blog and have been following you and several other for months.
I posted that first link to Kelly's blog that mentioned Sasha but here is the link to the post where she tells his story just in case you are interested.

If that link does not work it is from her February 8th 2008 post. I have been praying for this little guy to find a family ever since.
we have been following you for some time now via your blog. You in our prayers. Your update helps me to know how to pray.
I am asking that you have "the peace that passes all understanding" as you walk this difficult path. I am also praying that at the end of this path you find your children.
Cindie
Please update when you have a chance. Your in my thoughts.
