The Countdown started

I haven't posted since July although we've been actively involved in the adoption process. We have our appointment date for March 6th - can't wait! I already started a list of things we want to get done and ready before we leave and let me tell you - I end up adding a thing or two almost every day. I also had to start a list of things to take along so we don't forget the little things.

We have our tickets purchased to depart from Washington DC on March 3rd and returning to US on April 14th - this gives us 5 weeks in Ukraine. Our facilitator is optimistic and hopes we get done the week of Apr 7th so we might be coming home even earlier, depending on how everything goes. As many people have said - Ukraine is so unpredictable so we'll have to go with the flow once we're there. I am the type of personathat hates unpredictability so this is going to be a big learning experience for me.

Since we don't know what age or gender we will be presented with at the SDA (although we requested a child(ren) under 4 yrs) - we can't buy cloth or furniture yet for the child(ren), so our relatives will be giving us hand once we know the details. So the countdown to our departure begins... I'm certain the time will fly by quick as it always does and we'll be that much closer to brining our future child(ren) back home.
